Mike has broad experience in accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services to various governmental entities, non-profit organizations, and non-public companies. He has worked in a CPA firm as Assurance Services Manager, and Advisor. Michael’s over ten years’ experience include working with external and internal audit engagement teams from the big four and other regional CPA firms on large federal, state, and local government entities. Michael received continual acknowledgement and appreciation from the team he worked with regarding his hard work and expertise.  Prior to working in public accounting, Michael taught accounting courses for three years, developed financial policies and procedures, as well as participated in research undertakings. Michael was a graduate assistant while pursuing graduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University.

Michael is certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and has a working knowledge with many over the counter accounting and ERP solutions. He utilizes his skills to assist Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in designing and implementing financial reporting systems, and effective processes and system of internal controls. Michael managed internal audit engagement and outsourced accounting and tax services for healthcare organization benefiting the client to realize reduced costs.

Michael is engaged in the community by providing occasional free professional business advice for people involved in start-up business activities.  He volunteers doing finance, tax, and payroll work at his church.
